Extron MTPX 系列双绞线矩阵切换器提供了一系列具有创新性的新特性，用以简化基于双绞线的视音频系统的复杂性.

在与 Extron MTP U 系列通用型微型双绞线接收器配合使用时，MTPX 系列双绞线矩阵切换器可允许复合视频、S-视频以及 VGA 信号同音频或 RS-232 控制信号一起在一根 CAT 5 电缆上传输，并输出在显示设备上适当的连接器上。通过将一根电缆用于所有信号类型，可以简化系统布线，并且在每台显示设备上仅使用一个矩阵切换器的输出和一台 MTP U 系列接收器。
与传统的双绞线矩阵切换器相比，MTPX 系列双绞线矩阵切换器的强大特性可以使集成商大大缩短安装时间，并且降低了与机架空间、布线和安装相关的各类成本。MTPX 系列矩阵切换器是适用于指挥和控制中心、教学楼、礼堂、大型娱乐场所，以及其它视频、音频和控制信号路由应用的理想选择。
